Brain Food!  This is also great to have after a migraine to clear the woolly head feeling.   2 cups freshly picked basil, 1/2 cup walnuts (I bought Australian from the health food store), 1 clove of crushed garlic, 1 Tblsp parmesan, 1 Dstsp olive oil. Whizz in the mini food processor and bingo, instant deliciousness. This is great in wraps and stirred through steamed vegetables.

Walnuts are a great source of Omega 3. Much more than in fresh salmon. This is because Australian fresh salmon is farmed so they don’t eat the usual sea grasses needed to convert to omega 3.

A 3 month study on diabetics showed those who ate walnuts reduced their fasting insulin levels.

Walnuts also reduce the risk of prostate and breast cancer.  They contain arginine which helps reduce the risk of heart attack. Not so good to eat if you have a cold sore outbreak.
